The Rural Energy Agency has opened a financing window for subsidizing the end-user Stand Alone Solar Home System (SA-SHS) in remote rural areas.
Eligible firms are hereby invited to apply for grant per new SA-SHS installation in targeted rural communities. The grant includes end-user buying price system subsidization and firm’s performance incentive. The SA-SHS grant application is implemented through the program for Tanzania Rural Electrification Expansion Program Additional Financing (TREEP AF) which is supported by the World Bank.

Following are important facts:
• Proposals must be submitted in English language. Financial information should be denominated in Tanzanian Shillings (TZS).
• Applicants who do not submit application within the deadline will not be considered.
• Incomplete applications will be rejected.
• REA will host a pre-proposal conference on 29th April 2024 from 10:00am. The meeting will be held in Dar es Salaam, REA Sub-office, Upanga, (Seaview Ocean Road, Dar es Salaam - Tanzania, 18 Barack Obama Dr, Opposite to Protea Courtyard Hotel.
