Serikali kupitia Wakala wa Nishati Vijijini (REA) imekamilisha Mradi wa Ujenzi wa Kituo cha Kupoza Umeme kilichopo Ifakara (Ifakara Substation) na kuleta neema ya umeme wa uhakika kwa wananchi wa wilaya za Kilombero na Ulanga mkoani Morogoro, ambao walikuwa na changamoto ya kupata umeme mdogo na wenye kukatika mara kwa mara.

The Rural Energy Agency (REA) invites applications from Renewable Energy Small Power Producer (SPP) and Mini-Grid Project Developers for financial assistance from the Projects Preparation Support Facility (PPSF).  By providing grants to Developers for project feasibility studies and other pre-construction consulting services, the PPSF is designed to support Developers to complete development of projects and achieve financial close.  The PPSF has up to $4 million funding available, with the maximum grant of $250,000 per project.
