Notice to All Contractors of Turnkey Phase III Rural Electrification Projects

The Rural Energy Agency (REA) would like to inform all contractors under Contract No: AE/008/2016-17/HQ/G/9, 10 & 11, for Supply and Installation of Medium and Low Voltage Lines, Distribution Transformers and Connection of Customers in Un-electrified Rural Areas of Mainland Tanzania on Turnkey Basis under Turnkey Phase III Project, that implementation of the project has started.

During Bidding, it was instructed that main materials (i.e. Poles, ACSR Conductors, Distribution Transformers, and ABC Cables) shall be procured from local manufacturers. Further, each bidder submitted Manufacturers’ Authorization Forms for the said main materials from the local manufacturers.

The Rural Energy Agency (REA) emphasizes that all contractors shall procure main line materials and equipment from Local Manufacturers in line with the Manufactures’ Authorization Forms that were submitted during bidding.
