JAPANI YAVUTIWA NA FURSA ZA UWEKEZAJI NCHINI

Serikali ya Japani imekiri kuvutiwa na kuhamasishwa na fursa za uwekezaji zilizopo hapa nchini hususan katika sekta ya nishati na imeonesha nia ya kuwekeza katika sekta hiyo.

Waziri wa Uchumi, Biashara na Viwanda wa Japan Mhe. Toshimitsu Motegi aliyasema hayo hivi karibuni alipofanya mazungumzo na Waziri wa Nishati na Madini, Mhe. Prof. Sospeter Muhongo ofisini kwake jijini Dar es Salaaam.

Waziri Motegi, ambaye aliongoza Ujumbe wa Wafanyabiashara kutoka Japani, alitaja maeneo kadhaa ambayo nchi yake ingependa kufanya uwekezaji ikiwa ni pamoja na uzalishaji na usambazaji wa umeme.

Aidha, wafanyabiashara walioambatana na Waziri Motegi, walimweleza Waziri Muhongo kuwa fursa za uwekezaji zilizopo nchini na zinazoendelea kubainika siku hadi siku hususan upatikanaji wa gesi asilia zimekuwa ni kivutio na kichocheo kikubwa kwao kutamani kuwekeza Tanzania.

Mbali na kuonesha nia ya kuwekeza hapa nchini, Wajapani wameonyesha utayari wa kuwasaidia Watanzania katika usimamizi na uendelezaji wa rasilimali zilizopo kwa kutoa mafunzo.

“Serikali yangu iko tayari kupokea wanafunzi kutoka Tanzania kwa ajili ya mafunzo katika fani ya masuala ya jotoardhi,” alisema Waziri Motegi. Hata hivyo alibainisha kuwa kwa sasa serikali yake inafanya maandalizi ya kuanza kupokea watanzania kwa mafunzo husika na kwamba endapo mambo yataenda sawa, huenda mafunzo yakaanza rasmi mapema mwakani.

Kwa upande wake, Waziri Muhongo aliishukuru Serikali ya Japani kwa utayari wa kuwapatia mafunzo Watanzania na kusisitiza kuwa hilo ni jambo la msingi kwa nchi kuweza kusimamia rasilimali zake kikamilifu.

“Serikali imedhamiria kuongeza wataalamu wazawa watakaoweza kusimamia rasilimali zetu vizuri pasipo kutegemea wataalamu kutoka nchi za nje,” alisema.

Aidha, Prof. Muhongo aliwahakikishia Wajapani kuwa Tanzania inazo fursa nyingi za uwekezaji na hivyo kuwakaribisha Wafanyabiashara hao kuja kuwekeza hususan katika miradi mbalimbali ya uzalishaji na usambazaji umeme kupitia vipaumbele vilivyoanishwa na serikali vya jototardhi, tungamotaka, gesi asilia, upepo na umemejua.
