Global data shows that over 2.1 billion people lack access to clean cooking solutions. In Sub-Saharan Africa, nearly one billion people remain reliant on polluting fuels, and Tanzania stands among the countries most in need of an accelerated transition.

The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania, in collaboration with various stakeholders has prepared the National Clean Cooking Strategy. The strategy aims to ensure that 80 percent of Tanzanians use clean cooking solutions by the year 2034.
