UZINDUZI WA MRADI WA UMEME VIJIJINI AWAMU YA TATU MKOA WA GEITA

Wakala wa Nishati Vijijini (REA) umezindua utekelezaji wa Mradi Kabambe wa Kusambaza Umeme Vijijini Awamu ya Tatu katika Mkoa wa Geita. Mgeni rasmi Katika uzinduzi huo uliofanyika tarehe 12/07/2017 katika kijiji cha Nyijundu, Kata ya Nyijundu, Wilaya ya Nyang’wale alikuwa ni Naibu Waziri wa Nishati na Madini, Dk. Medard Kalemani.

Mradi huu unajumuisha vipengele-mradi vitatu vya Grid Extension, Densification ambayo inalenga kuongeza wigo wa usambazaji umeme kwenye vijiji ambavyo vimefikiwa na miundombinu ya umeme lakini baadhi ya vijiji na vitongoji havikuunganishiwa umeme. Kipengele-mradi cha tatu kinahusisha usambazaji wa nishati jadidifu kwenye maeneo yaliyo mbali na gridi.

Utekelezaji wa Mradi wa Kusambaza Umeme Vijijini Awamu ya Tatu katika Mkoa wa Geita utahusisha vipengele vyote vitatu. Mradi huu utatekelezwa kwa vipindi viwili tofauti. Sehemu ya awali itahusisha upelekaji umeme katika vijiji 220 kwa gharama ya Shilingi Bilioni 78.56. Utekelezaji wa sehemu hii ya kwanza umeanza Mwezi Februari 2017 na unatarajiwa kukamilika ifikapo Aprili 2019. M/s White City International Contractors Limited na Guangdong Limited ni wakandarasi watakaotekeleza Mradi Kabambe wa Kusambaza Umeme Vijijini Awamu ya Tatu katika Mkoa Geita.

Aidha, sehemu ya pili ya mradi huu wa Kusambaza Umeme Vijijini Awamu ya Tatu itaanza kutekelezwa baada ya sehemu ya kwanza kukamilika Mwaka 2019 ambapo vijiji 166 vitapatiwa umeme na hivyo kufikisha umeme katika vijiji vyote vya Mkoa wa Geita ifikapo Mwaka 2021.

EXTENDED DEADLINE FOR INVITATION FOR PROPOSALS - Supply of Starter Packs of LPG for Prison Staffs in Areas of Rural Mainland Tanzania

The Government of Tanzania through the Rural Energy Agency (REA) in collaboration with Tanzania Prisons Services (TPS) in response to attainment of sustainable development goals, has opened a   financing   window to support distribution of 15,920 units of 15kg LPG Starter Packs to earmarked Staffs in all Tanzania Prisons. This is part of the Clean Cooking Packages that the parties have agreed to cooperate inorder to enable these institutions to stop using environmentally and healthily harmful cooking solutions.
