TOR: CONSULTING SERVICES FOR RESTRUCTURING OF INPUT TO RESULT BASED MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

Following the formulation of the National Energy Policy in 2003, and the enactment of the Rural Energy Act in 2005, the Rural Energy Board (REB), Rural Energy Agency (REA) and Rural Energy Fund (REF) were established in 2007. REA is the executive body and Secretariat to the REB. The Fund is the mechanism by which the Board shall fulfill its mandate to provide grants and technical support to projects that are developed by private and public entities, co-operatives, and local community organisations.

The Government of Tanzania has received funds from the World Bank under the TEDAP Off-grid Component. National Clean Cooking Strategy (2024 – 2034)

The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania, in collaboration with various stakeholders has prepared the National Clean Cooking Strategy, which provides guidance for the country’s transition to using clean cooking solutions. The strategy aims to ensure that 80 percent of Tanzanians use clean cooking solutions by the year 2034.
