The Rural Energy Agency (REA) is pleased to invite qualified Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) suppliers to apply for the Results Based Financing (RBF) grant to facilitate the access of LPG in peri-urban areas of Dar es Salaam region through provision of subsidized LPG starter pack prices.
The Government of Tanzania through the Rural Energy Agency (REA) has set aside funds as a grant to subsidize LPG cylinders starter pack to peri-urban and rural communities through a Results Based Financing (RBF) approach. The maximum number of cylinders to be distributed will be 100,000 for all regions in Mainland Tanzania. The number of the cylinders to be distributed under this call for proposal may be less or higher depending on the promotion cost of cylinders and its associated accessories offered by the suppliers. The grant will be used where capital grant incentives will be offered to Suppliers with realistic business plans, based on the verified number of LPG cylinders sold resulting from the financing support.
Deadline for application is 7th June 2023
Interested suppliers are encouraged to carefully review the application requirements and submit proposals in accordance with the guidelines provided.
