Energy Access Situation Report, 2016 Tanzania Mainland

This Survey Report is the second product of the Rural Energy Agency (REA) under the Ministry of Energy and Minerals. The first one was conducted in 2011 aimed at providing baseline data on the access and use of energy in Tanzania Mainland. The current survey reveals the five years performance done by REA and TANESCO in collaboration with other stakeholders on the access and use of energy in Tanzania Mainland. The successful completion of this work is the result of the joint effort done by REA and the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) together with the Ministry of Energy and Minerals.

Call for Proposal for Deployment of Stand-Alone Solar Home Systems (SA-SHS) in Remote Villages in Geita, Ludewa and Mbulu Districts

The Rural Energy Agency (REA) is seeking proposals from qualified service providers for the supply, installation, and testing of Stand-Alone Solar Home Systems (SA-SHS) in eight remote villages across Geita, Ludewa and Mbulu districts. Those villages are located in remote areas with challenging geographical conditions, hence, impractical for grid extension.
